The blast furnace uses more monolithic refractories in continuous operation than any other stage of steel production, from taphole mixes and runner masses to preshapes for skimmers and tilting troughs. Hot metal ladles also vary widely between plants, so we supply individual solutions, including highly adhesive mortars for insulation and maintenance mixes.
